Drops of Honey

This shawl has been a year long in the making. It started out as a gift to my dear friend, Elena Nodel (aka Anadiomena behind the Colour Adventures patterns and yarns). I wanted to create a reversible shawl that reflects modern elegance but also uses traditional elements. Hence, Drops of Honey!

It features traditional Honeycomb stitch (or Blinov as it's called in several stitch dictionaries), dropped stitches, top down construction and short rows. I didn't use any pattern when working on the short row wedges making this shawl freeform as well!

Originally released as an MKAL in March, and finally yesterday released as a final version with my photos which I don't think do it justice!

The shawl has been mailed to Elena making its journey complete.
